November Wind Storm

During the final week of November, Priddis Greens was hit with two large wind storms. There is excessive damage to the golf course currently from trees blowing over in the wind. First estimates are that we lost almost 60+ trees. Thousands of branches have also come down as a result of the wind. While a majority of these branches do litter the ground all over the course, there are still a larger number of branches that are hung up in trees and could possibly cause a very severe safety hazard to anyone out walking on the golf course. With that in mind, we are asking all residents of the area to exercize extreme caution when on the course. If at all possible please avoid walking along tree lines on the golf course.
Currently the staff at Priddis Greens are assessing the damage and putting together an action plan to make the course safe again. This cleanup/action plan will take up to 3 weeks due to the large volume of work and limited staff. Please bare with us as we attempt to clean everything up.
In addition, we have not had a chance to erect all of the snow fence that is normally around tee boxes, fairways, and greens. So please make sure to avoid walking on these areas also.

SKATING RINK
The skating rink is still closed due to a lack of depth of ice on the pond on 17 Hawk. Over the next couple weeks, we hope the ice will get thicker and the residents will be able to skate. Please stay tuned to this blog for details on the skating rinks opening.

FIREWOOD
We have had a lot of people calling about firewood over the past 2 weeks. Currently, there is no firewood available. As explained above, we are very busy trying to clean up from the storm, and put up snow fence, so we hope to be able to make firewood available by Christmas. But we can't guarantee this. Please check back on IVRnet or on this blog for updates.
